The Band of The Royal Regiment of New Zealand Artillery is always on the look-out for new players and we welcome all enquiries. We naturally welcome experienced players of all brass instruments and percussion, but are also keen to hear from younger, less-experienced players who are willing to learn. Most engagements fall on weekends, although there are also occasional midweek performances for which members are encouraged to make themselves available.

 

If you are a current music student who can read music to a good standard but has not played a brass instrument before but are keen, Contact Us and we will get you started and help tutor you. We have had many members join this way. Current music students usually pick up brass instruments very quickly. Even if you are a beginner or intermediate player please contact us. We welcome all new players and aim to have you up to speed as quickly as you have the time to give. We currently have vacancies for cornet, tenor horn and percussion in particular. 

 

REMEMBER - We will supply an instrument, uniforms and mentoring free of charge!   It is not necessary to enlist in the military.

 

The Band practices from 7:30pm till 9.30pm every Tuesday in Panmure, Auckland.
